Review: They Can’t All Be Right
Do All Spiritual Paths Lead to God?
reviewed by: T. C. Pinckney Vol. XXI, No. 7, September 2008
This small (147 pages) book is an excellent summary of eight other religions and how they differ from Christianity. The other religions are: Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Mormonism, New Age, Wicca and Witchcraft, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Satanism and the Occult. In each case the author, Steve Russo, discusses its origins, its beliefs, and key differences between that religion and Christianity.
Russo speaks widely and so has had many interesting contacts with folks of other persuasions. He introduces each chapter with one or two of these accounts, which gives the book a very practical and interesting flavor.
The first two chapters set the tone for the book. They are titled “Do all Religions Really Lead to God?” and “What Does It Mean to Be a Christian?” The last two chapters draw it all together with challenges to the reader: “What Will You Do with Jesus?” and “How Do I Tell My Friends in Other Religions about Jesus?”
Published by B & H Publishing in 2004, ISBN 978-0-8054-3031-8, I highly recommend this easy read. It will prepare you to witness to those of other faiths and would make a helpful gift to many who may be struggling with the all too common claim that all religions lead to God.
