Who says what we are to believe?

Liberals fulminate against “creeds”. Yet a creed is simply what you believe. Ergo, if you have no creed, you believe in nothing. Every person faces the issue of what to believe, by what worldview, by what set of beliefs to live. And it is impossible to live outside of some framework.

However, this brief item quotes Dr. James Dunn, executive director of the Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs. Dunn says to be a Baptist means, "Ain't nobody going to tell me what to believe!"
