Would You Save a Baby’s Life?

Vol. XXIV, No. 9, October 2011

You may save a baby’s life and help bring an end to abortion in your community by joining with Christians around the world for the fall 40 Days for Life campaign – forty days of fervent prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigils held at sites where abortions are actually taking place.

Over 4,300 children are alive today as a result of previous 40 Days for Life campaigns. When their mothers saw someone praying outside the abortion facility and holding a sign with a positive pro-life message, they changed their minds about getting an abortion and allowed their babies to live. They also spared themselves a lifetime of regret.

Since its beginning in one Texas town in 2004, 40 Days for Life has seen 14 abortion clinics shut down, at least 53 abortion workers quit their jobs, and numerous post-abortive women (and men) find healing and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. Your prayers and peaceful witness make a difference!

This fall, from September 28 – November 6, simultaneous campaigns will be held in many cities. Numerous pro-life groups are endorsing and promoting these campaigns, in which Christians from many denominations come together in unity to stand as a public witness for life and for the love of Christ. Everyone who participates in a vigil agrees to pursue peaceful solutions, to show compassion, and to reflect Christ’s love to everyone, – including those who work at the abortion clinics. We pray for the clinic workers, just as we also pray for the mothers, their babies, family members, and others in the community who need to recognize the truth about abortion and to realize that it is never the right choice.

Please prayerfully consider your part in this work that God is doing. For more information, or to volunteer to help, go to www.40daysforlife.com, where you will be able to find the location of the vigils in your state. If there is not a 40 Days for Life campaign in your area, please consider starting one yourself. Assistance, support, and resources are available to all leaders.
