Evolution might be best understood as the pseudo-scientific justification for a life lived as if there were no accountability to God, for if we are created, then the Creator has the authority to set the rules for life, and the authority to set the penalty for breaking the rules. Evolution seems to offer hope that there is no Creator/Judge to whom we are responsible. Christians recognize Him not only as Judge, but the Redeemer who, through His own sacrifice, made substitutionary atonement for our sins.
