Don’t Miss the SBCV Annual Meeting!

The 2005 SBCV annual meeting will be held at Grove Avenue Baptist Church, 8701 Ridge Road, Richmond, on Monday and Tuesday, 13-14 November. You need to be there!

If you have not attended an annual SBCV meeting before, you may think of them as boring, dry business sessions. Nothing could be more mistaken! Of course, there is business ... after all we must pass next year’s budget and elect officers, etc. But the inspired speakers grab your heart and attention, the music and singing is glorious, and the loving, united spirit of the meeting focusses on reaching the lost. This year speakers include Bob Reccord, president of the North American Mission Board; Al Mohler, president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; and Carrie McDonnall, IMB foreign missionary whose husband was killed in Iraq.

As this is written, the exact schedule has not been finalized; however, on Monday registration will probably begin at 11:00 with the first session starting at 1:30. There will be a break for dinner and then an evening session. Tuesday the morning meeting will tentatively start at 9:00 with afternoon and evening sessions and adjournment around 9:00 p.m. Exact times will be posted on the SBCV website in the near future along with a map of how to find Grove Avenue.
