Other organizations include the following. The National Association of Free Will Baptists with 2,500 churches and 250,000 members unanimously adopted a resolution 25 July encouraging a boycott of Disney products. Two days earlier the Oklahoma State Church of God Ministerial Fellowship voted unanimously to adopt the SBC resolution as its own. A month before the SBC action, the executive board of the Assemblies of God cancelled the denomination’s 20-year participation in Disney’s theme park promotion, “Magic Kingdom Club.” Texas Catholic, newsletter of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, with a circulation of 75,000, wrote on 28 June, “...we applaud the Baptists for getting the message sent loud and clear to Disney.” The publisher of Charisma magazine with a circulation of 225,000 also editorialized in support of the SBC Disney resolution in their August issue. American Family Association, led by Donald Wildmon, had initiated its own Disney boycott in February. [BP]

[Editorial Comment: Disney pushes homosexuality in many of its movies, videos, books, theme park presentations, et cetera. No Christian of any persuasion should spend a penny on any Disney product or service until Michael Eisner is no longer head of the company and until the company has definitely returned to the pro-family stance we all once knew.
