Christianity Fastest Growing
Vol. V, No. 7, December 1992
According to the Lausanne Statistics Task Force, Christianity is the world's fastest growing religion and is growing faster than the world's population. The task force reports that the ratio of non-Christians to Christians is now 6.8 to 1, the lowest ratio in history. In A.D. 100 there were 360 non-Christians to every Bible-believing Christian. The ratio has been decreasing ever since: 220-1 in 1000; 69-1 in 1500; 27-1 in 1900; 21-1 in 1950; 11-1 in 1980; and 6.8-1 in 1992. The evangelical movement worldwide is growing three times faster than the world's population is growing.
