Here is a book which pastors might find useful and helpful in teaching discipleship to new Christians and church members. Dr. Wallen uses good, plain illustrations for the various topics under consideration with a judicious balance of light humor that is very appealing. Among the various subjects addressed in the study are discipline, indoctrination, study, commitment, integrity, prayer, love, endurance, self-control, humility, intercession, and proclamation. The author has done an excellent job in dealing with the issues in a way that is reflective of his many years of experience as a pastor seeking to lead his members into a life of committed discipleship.
