Cooperative Program Web Site

As your editor I recently received a notice about the new CP web site. The information is published below. Our Southern Baptist Convention is doing more and more to help churches, state conventions, and individuals be effective witnesses for Christ. From time to time you will see brief notes in The Banner to bring these helpful aids to your attention.

The Cooperative Program Development Division of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee would like to announce the redesigned CPMissions.net Web site. There are a number of new sections in the site, as well as updated sections from the previous design.

There is a resource area for churches and state Baptist entities to download CP logos, advertisements, and articles for use in a variety of publications. The site contains an updated CP Resources Store where 2003 materials are available for purchase. The site also includes weekly Missionary Moments – vignettes describing the work of Southern Baptist missionaries around the world – that are ideal for use in church services, in publications, and in a variety of other ways.

Also, in lieu of distributing printed or CD-based press kits this year, we are making the CP Missions Press Kit available online. The electronic press kit, which includes resources to help you promote CP through your state paper, may be accessed at www.cpmissions.net/presskit/. Visitors will be asked to fill out a brief survey and will be assigned a password for access to the site.
