Abortion Facts

31 million abortions in the U.S. since 1973 when abortion was legalized. An abortion is performed in our country every 20 seconds, 4300 per day. According to Planned Parenthood, only 7% of abortions are the "hard cases" - mother's health (3%), baby's health (3%), rape or incest (1%). 62% of Americans believe abortion should not be used for birth control, yet 9 out of 10 abortions occur for birth control reasons. VA Abortion Doctor Resigns

Dr. Michael Girtelschmid, a 40-year old abortionist in Norfolk, decided to quit performing abortions. The doctor, who wears a bullet-proof vest and carries a gun, performed abortions at Hillcrest Clinic on East Little Creek road for the past three years. Girtelschmid is the third doctor to quit the clinic since July 1993. 84% of the counties in the U.S. have no doctor willing to perform abortions. NOTE TO CHRISTIAN WOMEN: Would you like to increase that 84% figure? Ask your OB/GYN doctor if he performs abortions. If he does, tell him you will find a doctor who does not kill babies, and then do so. In addition, tell him you will be praying for him every day that he will repent.
