SBCV Executive Committee Recommendation on Executive Director

Meeting on 21 September, the Executive Committee of the SBCV unanimously adopted the following recommendation: "The Executive committee of the SBCV recommends the hiring, as soon as possible, of a full time Executive Director to educate, unify, and solidify conservative Southern Baptists in Virginia in recognition of the eventual formation of a separate state convention."

The recommendation will be presented for vote by the body at the annual SBCV meeting at First Baptist Church, Norfolk, on Tuesday, 7 November. Rev. Kelly J. Burris, pastor of Kempsville Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, heads the search committee.
