New Alignments with the SBCV
Vol. XIV, No. 6, June/July 2001
We have the privilege to announce that 30 more churches have joined the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia and another has moved from dual to unique affiliation. Some of these churches joined a number of months ago but have not yet been greeted in our pages. The Banner apologizes for the undue delay in welcoming them.

We are grateful to God for these new accessions and offer an enthusiastic greeting to each of these new partners in ministry. Yet we must always remember that the most vital thing is our fealty to the Word and steadfastness in witnessing and reaching out in the name of the Lord.
Our focus must never be our numerical strength, for then pride begins to infect our hearts. Rather, we must always serve ... serve through increased financial support to our local church, the SBC, and the SBCV, serve by daily witness to those around us through both word and Christ-like action, serve via faithful prayer and Bible study. We can never “win” any lasting victory, but if we remain available and focussed on Jesus and His commands, He will use us in fulfilling His plan. T. C. Pinckney, editor
