WALT DISNEY COMPANY: A MATTER OF CHRISTIAN RESPONSIBILITY

Pointing out problems about Disney may approach attacking apple pie, but when the pie crust contains arsenic, you'd better avoid it. Most Americans are not aware of the extent to which Disney is operated by homosexuals and promotes the homosexual agenda. Here are some facts.

In the May 1995 issue of Buzz magazine, the second largest magazine in Los Angeles, contributing editor Steven Gaines writes that a homosexual rights activist said she was told by Disney chairman Michael Eisner that "as many as 40% of the company's 63,000 employees might be gay." The Buzz story, entitled "Disney Comes Out of the Closet," also reported that Disney has the "Largest lesbian and gay employees organization in the entertainment industry."

Disney training coordinator Jimi Ziehr said that at Disney's Epcot Center in Orlando "gays outnumber the straights at Futureland operations, and there's nothing in the closet at Guest Relations." Thomas Schumacher, an open homosexual and "one of the guiding lights behind Disney's billion-dollar hit, “The Lion King," added, "...there are a lot of gay people here at every level."

Here is some pertinent background:

1. Disney helped underwrite the 1993 Hollywood benefit for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.

2. Disney gave advertising dollars to support Out, a homosexual magazine.

3. Disney amended its employment policy to add a sexual orientation clause to give homosexuals special rights. Brian Arbogast de Hubert-Miller, co-chairman of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance against Defamation/Florida chapter, said, "The most wholesome corporation in America looked to the future and did what they know was in their long-term best interest."

4. In May 1995 Disney's Hyperion Press published a book for children called Growing Up Gay. The book is targeted toward children. On page 6 the book states, "we dedicate GROWING UP GAY to all gay youngsters out there who were bred by heterosexuals." They want YOUR children.

5. Disney is one of the top sponsors of pro-homosexual TV programming.

A couple of quotes from the Buzz article underline the point. **"[Schumacher] believes that gays are drawn to the company because as children they got a subliminal message from Disney cartoons. ... 'Thematically, the animated films promote the right to be who you are, and not to change for anyone else. The characters make their own family. They bond and have close friends. They grow up and grow old together."

 

**"Those who have the chairman's ear insist that ... Eisner will soon let Mickey out of the closet, embracing domestic-partnership rights along with the rest of Hollywood."


[Editorial Comment: It is obvious that to buy any Disney product, attend any Disney event, go to Disney World or Epcot, watch any Disney production is to actively support with your dollars, attention, and mind the calculated war being waged against Jesus by those who hate Him. Make no mistake, you may not be able to see the chariots of fire, but the United States is in the midst of intense spiritual warfare. Do not help Satan's forces with your dollars, your patronage, or by allowing them to pollute the minds of yourself or your children.
