Short-Term Mission Volunteers

                                                                                                               Vol. XV, No. 10, Nov/Dec. 2002

The International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention always has openings for short-term mission volunteers. “Short-term” in the great majority of cases means one or two weeks, but some of the assignments are four or five weeks, two months, and perhaps even longer. The volunteer is responsible to pay round-trip transportation, field costs, and insurance.

Opportunities to serve are available in every part of the world, and it would be helpful (but not essential) for you to decide where the Lord is leading you before contacting IMB.

Many (but far from all) missions require special abilities with medical missions being numerous. Other categories include sports, youth, teaching English as a second language, and business management seminars.

You may contact the Volunteers in Mission Department of IMB by: (1) checking their website at www.imb.org/vim or (2) call them at 1-800-888-8657.
