Don’t Miss the VBBC
Vol. III, No. 6, September 1990
"VBBC" stands for Virginia Baptist Bible Conference. Don't miss it! This is the second annual VBBC and is bound to be a spiritual high point of your year, a wonderful time of worship and praise.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Adrian Rogers, Pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church, Memphis, Tennessee, who has thrice been president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Those who have heard Dr. Rogers speak at the Southern Baptist Pastors Conference or on television know what a thrill we can expect as this gifted man comes to share God's Word with us.
Other speakeers include our own Pastors David Johnson, Rileyville Baptist Church, Rileyville, who will lend us touch of class with his charming British accent; Rick Via, from dynamic Rainbow Forest Baptist Church in Troutville; and Tommy Taylor, London Bridge Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, consistently one of the leading Virginia churches in baptisms.
Come listen to and be part of glorious music as we thrill to a 200 member choir and orchestra. The choir will combine those from London Bridge, Colonial Heights, and Grove Avenue churches, and the orchestra comes from Colonial Heights.
The VBBC will meet on Monday, 12 November, in two sessions beginning at 1:45 and 6:15 p.m. at Grove Avenue Baptist Church, 8701 Ridge Road, Richmond. If you have not seen Grove Avenue Church, you are due a thrill just from the facility. The sanctuary seats 2000 in a semicircle and has a huge, beautiful stained glass window behind and above the pulpit and choir.
We will elect officers for the coming year during the afternoon session.
For a blessed and memorable time of praise, time of prayer, and time of preaching God's Word, don't miss the VBBC.
