1992 CBF Meeting

                                                                                                                                                                         Vol. V, No. 4, August 1992

The CBF held its annual general assembly in Fort Worth 30 April-2 May. In August 1990 at the first CBF national convention, some 3,000 were registered; in 1991-6,000. This year among themselves moderates were talking of 10,000 attending though publicly they were predicting 8,000. In the event, there were 4,500 registrants plus up to another 1,500 visitors.

The CBF adopted a global missions guiding statement, approved an annual missions offering (which will compete for funds with Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon), welcomed four former SBC missionaries as their first "missioners," and approved a $2.5 million goal for CBF missions in 1993. [BP]
