National Education System Failure
Joseph Farah on World Net Daily, 16 October 2006 Vol. XIX, No. 9, Nov/Dec 2006
There is no constitutional justification for the existence of the federal Department of Education, let alone its shakedown of taxpayers to the tune of $64 billion a year. But there is also no moral justification for it. There is no practical justification for it. There is no intellectual justification for it.
So why is it still there? After six years of Republican control of the House, Senate and White House. Why is this massive bureaucracy, that only 10 years ago a Republican presidential candidate pledged to eliminate, still there?
Have we ever witnessed a more colossal failure than our national education system? It is a national disaster equivalent to a massive nuclear attack in many ways. But we just don't notice it because it is killing our kids' souls slowly. It is destroying our way of life gradually. It is polluting the minds and hearts of the next generation completely. It is crippling our ability to be a self-governing society by dumbing us down over the long haul.
