The Real Purpose of Sunday School

What is the real purpose of Sunday School? Of course, it is to teach the Bible to all the members. But is it just to learn a few facts, or become better acquainted with a few portions? No! The real purpose of Sunday School is evangelism, outreach, ministry and fellowship, with a growing knowledge of what God’s Word teaches us in all situations and relationships. If that is to happen, then the Bible study curriculum should focus on foundational discipleship and the ongoing application of Scripture to our daily lives.
