Evil is intentionally, skillfully, and persistently active in all ages. And it seems especially so in our time. Now that “especially” may only be an impression due to our being alive at this moment in history, or it may be true because technology now affords so many ways for information (and misinformation) to inundate us. Be that as it may, there is no question that many powerful, influential, clever individuals and organizations are working tirelessly to destroy faith in Jesus, individual freedom, democracy, and capitalism.

In How Evil Works David Kupelian, managing editor of WorldNetDaily.com, award winning journalist, and author of best-selling The Marketing of Evil, clarifies with current and historical examples how evil insinuates itself into personal, organizational, and national life.

But he not only warns the reader and explains many techniques used by initiators of iniquity, he also explains how to counteract their wiles ... without being pugnacious and leaving them largely speechless.

This is not your typical book on theology. Yet it is applied theology at a most practical, usable level. Approaching the end of the book, Kupelian writes, “Make no mistake: we are in the midst of a monumental war for the ‘hearts and minds’ of Americans...”

In any war there are many battlefields where fighting rages, usually in sequence. But in the war for America’s and American’s souls many battles rage simultaneously: for control of our government, sexual anarchy, terrorism, the misuse of drugs and medicine, the plethora of false gods, atheism, denigrating fathers, and more. About 80% of the book describes how we got into this mess and the nature of the messes. The last chapter (about 19% of the book), proposes “How to Prevail Against a Government and Culture Gone Wild.”

How Evil Works is written for the average person: clear, straightforward, logical, founded on God’s Word, fact, history, and deep insight. I give it my highest recommendation.
