The New Answers Book, Over 25 Questions on Creation/Evolution and the Bible, Ken Ham General Editor (Master Books, 2006)

All Christians are – or at least should be – deeply interested in the creation/evolution debate. That question is, after all, the focus of much of the attacks on Christianity we see daily in the media, schools and universities, and the general culture.

This does not mean that we all can be or should try to be experts on fossils, radiometric dating, or the other technical aspects of the debate. It does mean we should seek a general understanding of the facts and processes so that we will be “ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you ...” (I Peter 3:15). The New Answers Book is excellent for this purpose.

The 27 chapters discuss answers to as many different questions, for example: Why shouldn’t Christians accept millions of years? Was there really a Noah’s Ark & flood? Hasn’t evolution been proven true?

For most of us a great attraction of the book is that it is written for the layman. You do not have to be a paleontologist or have a Ph. D. in some other esoteric field to fully understand the answers. Also, virtually every page has a visual aid to our understanding: a cartoon, chart, photograph, map, table, or diagram.

Read The New Answers Book, recommend it to others, give copies for birthday or Christmas presents. $14.99. ISBN 10: 0-89051-509-3.
