BTSR Faculty on Women in Ministry

Faculty of the Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond (BTSR) have endorsed women as ordained ministers serving in Baptist churches. The BTSR resolution does not specify women pastors, but affirms women in all church roles, "whatever that ministry may be." The resolution comes on the heels of a comment by Dr. Albert Mohler, president of Southern Seminary, that he and most other Southern Baptists are opposed to women serving in pastoral roles.
