Baylor Forming Seminary

Vol. VI, No. 4, May 1993

The Baylor University board of regents voted March 23 to move forward with plans to activate anew seminary at the school, perhaps as early as the fall of 1994. The decision is contingent upon a further positive review of proposed funding and facilities. The vote allows preparations to begin for opening the seminary. Enrollment will be limited to 50 students each year with a maximum enrollment of 150 after three years. [BP]

[Editorial Comment: Baylor unilaterally declared itself independent of Texas Baptists because of growing conservative strength in that state. Now Baylor is establishing another seminary in rebellion to produce more preachers who do not believe in the full authority of God's Word.]
