Lottie Moon Tops Goal!

Vol. XII, No. 1, January 1999

For the First time in 16 years the Lottie Moon offering for foreign missions has exceeded its goal. When the books closed 31 May Lottie Moon receipts totalled $100,064,318.10, surpassing $100,000,000 (this year’s goal) for the first time. This is the offering’s fifth straight record year and an increase of $7 million above last year. The 1998 goal is set at $110,000,000. The Lottie Moon offering funds half the annual budget of the SBC’s International Mission Board, and all of it goes to overseas operations, none to stateside overhead. [BP]
