SBCV Executive Committee Report

The Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia, meeting on December 9, 1993 at the Foreign Mission Board's Mission Learning Center in Rockville, Virginia, voted unanimously to begin the search for a salaried Executive Director/Treasurer. Other significant items of business included the disbursement of $5,000 to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. The Missions Committee was empowered to review and evaluate several requests for missions support. Allocations for college and seminary financial aid were discussed and referred to the Missions Committee for consideration. While welcoming the recent invitation from the BGAV leadership for dialogue on cooperation, the Executive Committee reaffirmed its commitment to effecting positive change within the BGAV in accordance with SBCV stated goals and objectives.
