Mission Partners

                                                                                                                                                                                                    Vol. I, No. 1, February 1988

As emphasized in our statement of purpose, it is our prayerful desire that The Baptist Banner be a catalyst to facilitate effective missions. To that end each issue will include a Mission Partners column. Churches with a need for help are urged to send us a brief description of the need, and a name, address, and phone number. We are confident that the Lord will lead other churches and individuals to respond to those needs. The donor need only write or call the published address or phone number to start the process. There is no charge for this service.

Once such a project has been completed, we would appreciate receiving a brief written account of what was done and the results. As space allows, these pieces will be published to testify to the impact of Christian love in action and to encourage others to request and provide similar ministry.

Our mission opportunity for this issue is in Pennsylvania. Rev. T. B. Smith, Director of Missions for the Conemaugh Valley Baptist Association asks for the following help:

– Several teams of three to six men to help during the spring or summer with construction improvements to church buildings;

– Teams of two or three college-age youth during spring break to conduct surveys, youth fellowships, and Bible studies to prepare for simultaneous revivals in April;

– Two or three men who are interested in positions as bi-vocational pastors.

Those interested in any of these opportunities may call Rev. Smith, 814322-3464, or write to him at 306 Robin Terrace Street, Johnstown, PA 15909.
