Creation News Items
Vol. XI, No. 10, Nov/Dec 1998
Here are two ideas summarized from the newsletter of the Southern Minnesota Association for Creation newsletter.
The Alpha Omega Institute, founded by Dave & Mary Jo Nutting, hosts two separate weeklong family vacations at Camp Redcloud in the beautiful Colorado mountains near Lake City, CO. The camps provide creation teaching, worship, fellowship, hiking, rappelling, mountain biking, ropes courses, horseback riding, canoeing, 4-wheel drive trips, and fly fishing, as well as great food and accommodations. There is also an excellent children’s program during the week. Tentative dates for next year are 8-13 and 15-20 August 1999. For more information including the price, write to P.O. Box 4343, Grand Junction, CO 81502 or phone 970-523-9943.
Second, there is a brand new creation museum at Crosbyton, TX, near Lubbock, opening 8 October 1998. The Mt. Blanco Fossil & Dinosaur Museum is the dream of Joe Taylor. Taylor has a wide reputation as an expert in restoring and reproducing fossils. Among other displays will be the largest mold ever made of a fossil while still in the ground. See displays of giant salamanders, dinosaur skin just found, a tiny three-toed horse, and saber tooth cats.
A new book by Taylor, Fossils, Facts, & Fantasies, is being published by New leaf Press/Master Books. Advance orders are being received for $15 and will include a special edition dust cover signed by Joe. It is expected the book will be available in late December this year. You can write to Joe Taylor at 208 South farmer, Crosbyton, TX 79322 or phone 806-675-2604.
