Lots of Challenges!
Vol. XXI, No. 1, January 2008
First, spiritual. Each of us as individuals, each family, each local church, our state convention and SBC, our nation ... all are confronted by multiple, serious challenges. We will try to publish helpful articles that will inform you as to the nature of these tests and also suggest ways to cope and win for Jesus. As an example, take the content of this January 2008 issue.
Check “State Wrap 2007" for challenges and events in multiple states, “California against gay marriage” for developments re homosexuality. Is your church small? There is a special article for you. Mormonism is a real challenge; here is the first article of a series on LDS. Abortion? Read the one on Planned Parenthood. Concerned about militant feminism? See the book review. Need a great idea for growing your church? Check out “Friend Day”. Wondering whether preaching is really that important? Read what Al Mohler says. Torn between alarmed and intrigued by radical new approaches to doing church? Learn what Missouri has done about “Acts 29" and a second article on news from Willow Creek.
We want every Banner issue, every article to be helpful and informative.
The next challenge is financial. Please help us with a donation of any amount. Use the enclosed envelope to help The Banner get off to a good start in the black in 2008. Thank you for your support.
All glory to Jesus,
